Time For Broadstairs To Go It Alone?

Just throwing this out there and not saying we should do it or anything, but do you think there would be support for a referendum on the independence of Broadstairs?

I think we should do it. It feels like the right time and with the South East coast's wind reserves and fishing industry (I've counted at least 2 fishing boats off the jetty), I think we'd be much better off if we go it alone.

I appreciate this is a polarising subject and may split the town down the middle but I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts
